Official Tournament Rules

​Captain’s Meeting

All rules will be reviewed at the mandatory Captain’s Meeting:

Friday, July 17th at 6:00 PM
Lorain Harbor Boat Club at 108 Alabama Ave. Lorain, OH 44052

Awards

• Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place

• Cash prize for Biggest Walleye

Tie Breakers

Largest single fish (weight)

 

Entry Fee

• $100 per boat to register

• There is no rain date for this event

• If fishing is canceled due to weather, the after-party will still take place (food, DJ,  raffles, and fun!)

• No refunds will be issued

• All entry fees will be donated to our benefactors

 

​​Team Composition

• Teams must consist of women only

• Minimum of 1 woman

• Maximum of 4 women per team

Boat Crew

Maximum of 2 men per boat

(Captain and 1st Mate only)

Men MAY

Rig equipment, set lines, and unhook the fish after they are reeled in.

Men MAY NOT

Reel in fish or net fish.

All fish must be reeled in by women only.

• Observers are not required (honor system)

• No radio restrictions - open communication

Fishing & Weigh-In Deadlines

• Maximum of 9 rods per boat

• Lines may enter the water at 6:00 AM

• All boats must stop fishing by 12:00 PM

• All teams must be in the weigh-in line by 1:00 PM at the Lorain Harbor Boat Club

• Official weigh-in begins at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 18th

• If fishing cannot begin by 8:00 AM, the tournament will be canceled

• A minimum of four (4) hours of fishing time is required to complete the tournament

Catch & Cooler Rules

• Each team may bring their five (5) best fish to weigh-in (State of Ohio DNR rules with at least a minimum length of 15 in)

• Coolers may contain no more than five (5) fish

• Coolers must be in line by 1:00 PM

• All fish will be weighed on certified tournament scales

• If you would like to donate your fish, we will have designated coolers to put them in​
